Georgetown family proposes cannabis edibles business – News …

Georgetown may soon have yet another cannabis business, one that seeks to please your taste buds as well as your brain.

Georgetown nativeMatt Kumph and his father, Georgetown resident Ken Kumph, of Premier Builders Inc., recently met with the Board of Selectmen in hopes of getting a manufacturing license and approval for a cannabis extraction facility to make marijuana edibles and infused oils under the new company name Peak Limited LLC.

“Im a longtime resident of Georgetown, went to Pentucket Workshop [preschool] all the way through Georgetown High School,” Matt Kumph said.

Matt Kumph, who now lives in Newburyport,graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology, studying construction and engineering, and went on to work for Commodore Builders as a site supervisor. With that company, he worked on Patriot Care in Boston.

“Thats where my interest kind of piqued,” Kumph said.
