Actress Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle empire Goop is set to capitalise on California’s newly relaxed cannabis laws by promoting a range of marijuana products which, according to its advocates, can promote well-being.
Goop, known for backing such bizarre therapies as vaginal steaming and coffee enemas, will soon be seen providing vaporiser pens and cannabis tea bags, and even pot-based recipes, including how to make a Pimm’s-based ‘Cannabis Cup’ cocktail.
Paltrow, has admitted to smoking cannabis and is collaborating with marijuana superstore MedMen for the new venture.
A plethora of Gwynnie-approved products now feature on a Goop-branded wall in one of MedMen’s branches in California, where the drug was legalised in January.
The American chain, whose mission is to ‘mainstream marijuana’, was even the official sponsor of a £500-a-head ‘In Goop Health’ conference in Los Angeles this month.
