Oregon beer this week: Pelican landing in Lincoln City, Fresh Hops Fest, plus events

Pelican Brewing, the award-winning brewery based in Pacific City on the Oregon Coast, this week announced it would open a new brewpub in Lincoln City, the fourth site for the brewery that began on the sands at Cape Kiwanda.

The new Pelican will take over the former home of The Bay House, a popular restaurant on the Siletz Bay. The Bay House is planning to relocate and expand to another site nearby, adding overnight lodging.

“We are in the planning stages of designing an innovative new brewpub that will bring a unique dining option to Lincoln City and we are delighted to follow the incredible legacy of The Bay House restaurant at this beautiful site on the coast — we wish them well as they expand their hospitality offerings,” says Mary Jones, founder and owner of Pelican Brewing.
