Three Albanian nationals who were involved with the production of more than £130,000 worth of cannabis in Leeds have been jailed.
Cannabis with a street value of £137,000 and 160 cannabis plants were recovered by police at two addresses in Leeds between December 1 in 2018 and January 7 this year.
Prosecutor Ian Hudson told Leeds Crown Court that 11 large, clear vacuum storage bags, holding £94,000 worth of the drug, were found.
Mr Hudson said Islam Gjuta, 23, gave officers a false driving licence when they stopped his Ford Connect vehicle on December 6.
Four days later, they spotted him coming out of his house on Vinery Terrace, in East End Park. with a large bag and entering 30-year-old Lumjan Matmuja’s house in Gledhow, carrying two large laundry bags.
Police later found cannabis farms inside both properties.
