Second talk set on medical cannabis
A second presentation about managing pain with medical cannabis has been added and will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Leis Family Class Act Restaurant at the University of Hawaii Maui College campus in Kahului.
The “brunch and learn” session features Michael Backes, author of “Cannabis Pharmacy” and member of the Maui Grown Therapies Science Medical Advisory Board. He will share the latest research on cannabinoids and pain management, along with how cannabis is helping patients wean off of prescription opiates.
