Salinas police say man had weed, coke and guns

Salinas police say they’ve arrested a man who had guns, cocaine and marijuana, including concentrated cannabis and ingredients to make volatile honey oil. 

Freddy Lopez Cabrera, 28, was arrested after the department’s Violence Suppression Unit raided his home in the 1300 block of E. Market St. Tuesday, according to a police news release.

Officers say they found several pounds of marijuana, marijuana edibles and concentrated cannabis, as well as several ounces of cocaine, a handgun, ammunition and more than $2,000 in cash. 

They also found butane and other equipment used to extract THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, into a viscous liquid or gel known as honey oil, aka concentrated cannabis.
